Im sure that most of people know Sri Lanka by bad news from that country war with Tamil tigers and  those things, but here is few facts that most of us don't knw, ofcours source like always wiki Sri Lanka

 Sri Lanka is a strategic naval link between West Asia and South East Asia.  It has also been a center of the Buddhist religion and culture from ancient times and is one of the few remaining abodes of Buddhism in South Asia, including Ladakh, Bhutan and the Chittagong Hill Tracts, as well as being a bastion of Hinduism.The country is famous for the production and export of tea, coffee, coconuts, rubber and cinnamon - which is native to the country. The natural beauty of Sri Lanka's tropica lforests, beaches and landscape. The island also boasts the first female Prime Minister in the modern world, Sirimavo Bandaranaike. Oh and i must say i really like those Tamil letter they are very interesting to me, too abd i don't know them.
