Here it is one of hard to get postcards, mainly cause this country is only recognized by Turkey, and by international community is considered as part of Republic of Cyprus.
The 1974 coup d'état, an attempt to annex the island to Greece, was followed by the Turkish invasion of Cyprus. This resulted in the eviction of much of the north's Greek Cypriot population, the flight of Turkish Cypriots from the south, and the partitioning of the island, leading to a unilateral declaration of independence by the North in 1983.
Due to its lack of recognition, Northern Cyprus is heavily dependent on Turkey for economic, political and military support.
Northern Cyprus is divided into five districts. Lefkoşa, Gazimağusa, Girne, Güzelyurt and İskele.
In addition there are further 28 sub-districts divided between the 5 larger districts.
Postcard send by my Russian friend Roman, who's tryin' to visit all those small countries and territories in world, thx for postcard.And funny story about postcard, when he was sending postcard in post office they didn't knew about Bosnia and Herzegovina, try to search but couldnt, so they charged him like they charge stamps for Russia, wich is little expensier then for Europe.
and nice stamp up there as you can see, and on main postcard is Kyrenia Harbour which is main tourstic resorts in North Cyprus.
